Nice to meet you. I am Yoshiyuki Umehara, a Labor and Social Security Attorney, at Global HR Office.

Global HR Office specializes in solving labor and HR issues of the companies and provides them with the
labor and HR related services in English.
Drawing on my extensive experience in international operations at Japanese companies and my role as a supervisory manager at foreign-affiliated companies in Japan, where I was involved in resolving personnel and labor issues, this office aims to assist foreign-affiliated companies in addressing their personnel and labor challenges.
We leverage our strength as Labor and Social Security Attorney in English.

Drawing on years of management experience in corporate settings both domestically and internationally, as well as experience as a representative director at a foreign-affiliated company in Japan, we can provide you with labor consulting services in English, standing alongside employers and supervisors.
3. Japanese and English Document Drafting and Revision Services for Labor related Regulations and Contracts
We handle the creation and revision of employment rules and various regulations in accordance with labor laws and social insurance regulations in Japan, as well as consultations regarding the drafting and amendment of employment contracts and other documents.
4. Labor Consulting Aligned with Laws, Regulations, and Past court precedents
Our office belongs to a research group within the Tokyo Social Insurance and Labor Consultants Association that studies labor case law (including Supreme Court rulings). We are able to provide the companies with our advices on how to avoid labor-related risks by referencing past court precedents.
5. Harassment Training
One of the most challenging issues in corporate management is ensuring appropriate corporate responses to harassment.
Drawing on our past experience as trainers in harassment prevention programs, our office is available to consult with companies on harassment-related matters. We also assist with drafting harassment policies and harassment precaution regulations upon request.

| Career History | November 1961: Born in Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture March 1985: Graduated from Keio University, Faculty of Law, Department of Political Science 1985–2002 After graduating from university, joined a major general trading company. Engaged in international business for 17 years, primarily in overseas sales departments, as an in-house language exchange student (German), and including the position of office manager at the Central European overseas office. 2002–2016 Served as overseas and domestic sales manager at Japanese and foreign-affiliated manufacturers. During this period, at a Japanese ink manufacturer, engaged in establishing a local subsidiary in India and served as the head of that subsidiary's base (based in India). 2017–2021 Appointed Representative Director of an Indian foreign-affiliated Japanese corporation importing and selling healthcare materials (4 years and 7 months) 2020: Passed the Labor and Social Security Attorney (Sharoshi) Examination.(national license as a labor and social security expert) 2021–2025: Joined a Labor and Social Securty Attorney office in November 2021 January 1, 2026: Established the Social Insurance and Labor Consultant Office Global HR Office. |
